Settings

Configure platform integrations, manage reusable content libraries, and set global preferences.

Navigate to Settings from the bottom section of the left navigation.

Path: Settings → General

Configure your HubSpot connection.

Status Pill: Shows connection state:

  • 🟢 “Connected” — Active connection
  • 🔴 “Disconnected” — Connection issue
  • 🟡 “Connecting” — Auth in progress

Scope Count: Number of HubSpot permissions granted

Example: “Connected • 12 scopes”

Reconnect HubSpot Button: Refresh authentication and scopes

When to use
  • Adding new HubSpot scopes
  • Troubleshooting connection issues
  • Refreshing expired credentials
  • After changing HubSpot settings
  1. Click Reconnect HubSpot button
  2. HubSpot OAuth flow opens in new window
  3. Review requested permissions
  4. Click Grant Access
  5. Redirect back to Sellestial
  6. Status updates to “Connected”

Sellestial requests these permissions:

Core Permissions:

  • Read/write contacts
  • Read/write companies
  • Read/write properties
  • Access lists
  • Read/write deals

Optional Permissions:

  • Create tasks and notes
  • Add to sequences (for Sequences feature)
  • Read/write workflows

Path: Settings → Enrichment

This is the main configuration interface for Standard Enrichment.

Contact Enrichment:

  • Providers (LinkedIn, Email Discovery)
  • Sources (which contacts to enrich)
  • Field mapping (which HubSpot fields to update)
  • Write modes (how to handle existing data)
  • Allowed values (vocabulary control)

Company Enrichment:

  • Types (LinkedIn, Revenue)
  • Sources (which companies to enrich)
  • CRM updates (field mappings)
  • Daily limits (rate control)

Path: Settings → Sequences

Reusable instruction presets for sequence generation.

Purpose: Centralize content quality rules across all sequences

Interface:

  • List of reusable presets
  • Expandable items showing details
  • Add New button to create presets
  • Per-preset edit and delete actions

Example Preset: “Conference Default Instructions”

Includes:

Golden Rules:

  • Truth-only content
  • Omit unknowns
  • No speculation
  • Closed content list
  • Strict structure adherence

Evidence Hierarchy:

  • Ground Facts > Derived Facts > Metadata
  • Clear precedence rules
  • Expression requirements

General Email Rules:

  • Every sentence must be verifiably true
  • Prefer omission to invention
  • No fabrication allowed

Personalization Policy:

  • Only when justified by data
  • Never fabricate personal details
  • Context-driven, not explicit
  1. Click Add New in Default Instructions section
  2. Enter preset name (e.g., “Product Launch Emails”)
  3. Add content sections:
    • Golden Rules
    • Evidence Hierarchy
    • Email Rules
    • Personalization Policy
  4. Save preset
  5. Use in sequence configurations

Apply consistent tone, sourcing standards, and formatting across all outreach sequences:

Without presets:

  • Each sequence has different quality rules
  • Inconsistent content standards
  • Copy-paste instructions between sequences

With presets:

  • One source of truth for quality rules
  • Consistent standards across all sequences
  • Update once, apply everywhere

Path: Settings → Global Prompts

Centralized prompt library used primarily by Sequences and sequence-adjacent checks.

Columns:

Actions:

  • Create Prompt button

Fields:

Goal: Define zero-hallucination objective

Example: “Generate email content that is 100% verifiably true”

Data Sources Allowed: Specify permitted data inputs

Example:

  • HubSpot contact properties
  • Company LinkedIn profile
  • Recent news articles
  • Deal information

When Data Is Missing: Policy (typically “omit; don’t guess”)

Example: “If job title is unknown, do not mention job title. Never invent details.”

No Inferences Policy: No hedging without explicit evidence

Example: “Do not infer industry from company name. Use only provided industry field.”

Use Citable Information: If you can’t cite it, you can’t claim it

Example: “All facts must be traceable to specific data sources.”

Success Criteria: Verifiably true content + formatting compliance

Example:

  • All statements can be fact-checked
  • No speculation or assumptions
  • Proper formatting (HTML, character limits, etc.)

  2. Select Group (Sequence, Generated Sequence Check, etc.)
  3. Fill in all fields:
    • Goal
    • Data Sources Allowed
    • Missing Data Policy
    • No Inferences Policy
    • Use Citable Information
    • Success Criteria
  4. Optionally override LLM Model
  5. Save prompt
  6. Use in sequences or checks

House-Style Rules: Keep general quality standards in Global Prompts

Examples:

  • Company writing style guide
  • Brand voice guidelines
  • Regulatory compliance rules

Campaign-Specific Rules: Keep in Sequence Default Instructions presets

Examples:

  • Conference-specific messaging
  • Product launch positioning
  • Seasonal campaign tone

Versioning: Use version numbers in titles for audit trails

Examples:

  • “Default sequence instructions v2”
  • “Conference email rules 2025 Q1”
  • “Product launch prompts v3”

Regular Review: Update prompts based on:

  • Performance metrics
  • Quality issues
  • New learnings
  • Regulatory changes

Consistency: Apply same prompts across similar use cases

Benefits:

  • Predictable quality
  • Easier troubleshooting
  • Scalable content operations

Manage team access and permissions:

Roles:

  • Admin — Full access to all features
  • User — Access to pipelines and configuration
  • Viewer — Read-only access

Permissions:

  • Create/edit pipelines
  • Deploy changes
  • Manage settings
  • View usage/billing
  • Access RevOps Assistant

View and manage billing:

Information Shown:

  • Current plan
  • Credit balance
  • Usage trends
  • Payment method
  • Billing history

Actions:

  • Update payment method
  • Download invoices
  • Upgrade/downgrade plan

Generate API keys for integrations:

Use Cases:

Security:

  • Keys are sensitive — store securely
  • Rotate regularly

  • Limit scope when possible

Configure alerts and notifications:

Pipeline Events:

Enrichment Events:

Notification Center:

  • Badge shows unread count
  • Click to view all notifications
  • Mark as read/unread
  • Archive old notifications

Problem: Status shows “Disconnected”

Solutions:

  1. Click Reconnect HubSpot
  2. Complete OAuth flow
  3. Grant all requested scopes
  4. If still failing:
    • Check HubSpot account status
    • Verify you have admin permissions
    • Try different browser
    • Contact support

Problem: Feature unavailable due to missing permissions

Symptoms:

  • Greyed-out features
  • Error messages: “Missing scope: contacts.write”
  • Installation failures

Solutions:

  1. Go to Settings → General
  2. Note current scope count
  3. Click Reconnect HubSpot
  4. Grant additional requested scopes
  5. Verify scope count increased

Problem: Sequence using old prompts

Check:

  1. Prompt saved correctly?
  2. Sequence references correct prompt?
  3. Sequence deployed after prompt update?
  4. Cache cleared?

Solutions:

  • Redeploy sequence
  • Verify prompt assignment
  • Check for typos in prompt title
  • Contact support if persists

Problem: Changes to enrichment config don’t persist

Possible causes:

  • Browser cache
  • Session timeout
  • Permission issues
  • Validation errors

Solutions:

  1. Hard refresh browser (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R)
  2. Check for error messages
  3. Verify admin permissions
  4. Try different browser
  5. Contact support

Recommendations:

  • Rotate keys quarterly
  • Use separate keys for dev/prod
  • Revoke unused keys
  • Monitor API key usage

Regular Tasks:

  • Monthly: Reconnect HubSpot to refresh token
  • Quarterly: Review scope permissions
  • Yearly: Audit API key usage

When to Reconnect:

  • After HubSpot updates
  • When adding new features
  • If experiencing auth errors
  • Proactively before token expiry

Organization:

  • Group prompts by use case
  • Version prompt titles
  • Document prompt purposes
  • Archive deprecated prompts

Quality Control:

  • Test prompts before production use
  • Review generated content regularly
  • Update based on performance
  • Get team feedback
